12x12" CLAY CHRISTMAS SCENE ON A WOOD PANEL
Who needs reindeer when you have the tail-wagging power of a pair of Westies?
When Santa's reindeer all come down with the reindeer flu on Christmas Eve, he sprinkles a little magic dust on his pair of Westie companions so they can pull his sleigh instead! I think he shrunk himself and his sleigh a bit too!
This adorable Christmas scene has been hand sculpted from colored polymer clay and is one of a kind.
I painted the wood panel with several coats of gesso, sanding between coats, then gave the background several coats of a dark midnight blue acrylic paint which was then spattered with white acrylic paint to give the look of a mix of stars and snow.
Santa, his sleigh, the two Westies, and the three little houses were hand sculpted from colored polymer clay, cured, then attached to the wood panel. The little houses are accented with tiny rhinestones to give the look of Christmas lights. They sparkle when the light hits them!
I even created the faux snow that covers the ground from a homemade recipe!

This is a wonderful one of a kind piece that is sure to brighten any Westie lover's Christmas for many years to come! I really enjoyed creating it, but it was a LOT of work, so there will never be another one!
