Don't want to cut your controller wires or use your power intake track, And maybe wanting to expand to four lanes, No need to, set your old controllers, Transformer and Power intake track aside you wont need them anymore.....
If you have a Carrera Go, or SCX with turbo buttons, want four lanes,  this will increase performance, and allow you to use many brands of slot cars not just the Manufactures brand no question.
Turn any track you have over look for the metal showing, (see picture),  every brand I have seen so far has a place were you can solder a couple of wires to it. So this kit will fit your layout,
Also if you need longer leads for any reason,(SEE PICTURE WITH YELLOW X'S) there is a 12.45 charge to install.
Costs include the wire and labor,but must be requested before shipping is complete.
This Video is shown on 1/32 scale but with all the 1/43 cars will work the same on an Artin 1/43 Track at higher voltage than 6 volts. Stepping up to 12 for 1/43 tracks is very doable. (Just a note)

1/32 uses 12 volt plus, 1/43 uses 6-12 volts, HO uses 12-15 volts,
Printed output on this 4 lane Transformer is rated at 12 volts, but read 14.3 with volt meter, exact may vary,
Each of the controllers are 60ohm, and will hold up well and give you great control of your cars,
Take a look under one track section of your track no matter the brand,  there is a part of the metal railing showing,
It is the underside that does allow a person to soldier leads to each rail,
You can shorten the leads if needed to clean up the excess,
Wire will come long enough to connect to most any 1/32 track, on 1/24 track should reach but may be close,
It all depends on the scale of track you are using,
If you are looking for an 8 lane set up, purchace two sets, extend the wires to reach all 8 lanes and your ready to go.
I use this set up on one of my tracks, also used the same set up for a 1/43 Carrera set,
The great thing is you do not need to try to figure were to get a your brands transformer, or controllers,
You can use almost any slot car track made out there, no matter how old the track is, or the brand
Soldering iron required to complete installation,
