The upgrade has to be submitted before January 31, 2022.
The advice comes with 40 Plus Points that can be used for upgrade on domestic or international flights with UnitedAirlines
How many Points are required for one way upgrade? Please see the following tables.
1. For Short-haul flights:
Short-haul flights include flights within the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and premium transcontinental service;flights between the U.S. and Canada; Bogota, Colombia; Central America;Caribbean; Mexico and Quito, Ecuador; flights between Guam and Honolulu,including island hopper service; and intra-Asia flights.:

2. For Long-haul flights
Long-haul flights are flights with United Polaris business, including flights between the U.S. and Africa, Asia,Australia, Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand, South America, and Tahiti.

United Economy (Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q,V, W) to United Polaris business => 40

ANA Business (J, C, D) to ANA First=> 40
Copa Economy to Copa Business =>40
Lufthansa Economy (G, E, Y, B, M, U,H, Q) to Lufthansa Business => 40
Lufthansa Business (J, C, D) to Lufthansa First => 40
United Economy (ALL) to United Premium Plus => 20
These upgrades can only be used on paid, published fares for upgrades from United, ANA, Copa and Lufthansa flights.
*Upgrade will be applied to one segment of your one-way itinerary
*To apply the upgrade, at least 24hours are required before the departure of your flight, the first section of flight for multiple connections.

If you are uncertain of your ticket qualifies, please check United Airlines to ensure your tickets are eligible for upgrade. When dealing with United, if they ask, you can say that you are getting an upgrade from a friend. United's customer care/reservations line is1-800-UNITED-1.
Here's how it works:
1. Send me your reservation confirmation number and passenger name, which allows me to confirm upgrade availability.
2. The availability results can be:(1) instant upgrade, (2) on the upgrade waiting list, (3) not available. It is up to you if you want to buy points and to be on the waiting list.
(1) If eligible for instant upgrade, purchase the travel advice package from me to get the Points you need. The upgrade will be applied electronically. You will be able to see on your reservation that an upgrade has been applied or requested.
(2) Upgrade is not always confirmed immediately. If that's the case, you will be on the upgrade waiting list. If for any reason you cancel your ticket after submitting upgrade or do not use the upgrade for any other reason (e.g., the wait-list does not go through), I will not be able to refund you the money. However, I will be happy to apply the upgrade to another eligible flight anytime prior to 1/30/2022
3. NO REFUND POLICY: If for any reason you cancel your ticket after upgrading or do not use upgrade for any other reason. I will NOT be able to refund you the money, because United won't refund me the points.
