ROMANIA ORDER OF MICHAEL THE BRAVE - COMMANDERS CROSS WITH RIBBON - REPLICA

Description

This beautiful medal is a full-size replica of the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Michael the Brave, Romania’s highest military bravery medal.
Established during
World War I (1916), the order was re-authorized during World War II.  This replica is the version from the Second World War with the date 1941 on the lower arm.  The year 1916, the year the order was established, appears on the reverse.
My replica measures 83 mm from the top (orb with cross) to the bottom and the arms of the cross measure 60 mm side-to-side.
It comes with 12 inches of the appropriate 45 mm wide ribbon ("unfinished" ends), also replica.
The medal weighs 34 grams.
Historical note:
German Field Marshal von Manstein wore the 3rd Class of the order on his uniform.
