The James Dean Special Edition Fountain Pen honors the American actor and cultural icon with luxurious design that is distinctively Montblanc.  The red precious-resin cap and barrel reference the red leather jacket he wore in "Rebel Without a Cause", with a pattern inspired by his jeans.  The ruthenium-coated clip takes the image of the shotgun from his famous scene in "Giant" and is further accented by a shell primer on the cap.  The finial has a filigree pattern from a dollar bill in reference to "East of Eden" and is finished with the Montblanc emblem.  His famous quote "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." is featured on the cap ring.  An engraved ring at the cone gives the coordinates for James Dean Memorial Junction, where the actor died in an automobile accident at the age of 24.  The fine nib is 14K gold with a special engraving.  Piston filling mechanism.  Made in Germany.
