ATmega32 Board, LCD, Keypad, uSD, LEDs, IR, RS232, Temp.SensorEM-STK-AVR
The AVR Project Board is a complete and easy-to-use development board for Atmel ATmega32 and compatible microcontrollers. The board comes with an ATmega32 installed, and includes the following interface circuitry:
4×4 Keypad Matrix
I2C Real Time Clock (DS1307)
I2C EEPROM (24C256)
Alphanumeric LCD, 16 characters by 2 lines
MicroSD Card slot
Switches
RS232
Buzzer
LEDs
IR transmitter LED
IR receiver with comparator
TSOP1783 IR Receiver
Temperature Sensor
Header pins provide access to these circuits. A pack of 20 F-F jumper wires is included for facilitating connections. The board has a
5×2-pin ISP connector
(top view on target board) for programming the microcontroller using an
AVR ISP Programmer
.
AVR Project Board Setup
By default, the ATmega32 on the board has JTAG enabled which prevents I/O operation for some PortC pins, and is set to use its
1 MHz
internal oscillator instead of the
4 MHz
external oscillator on the board.
To have access to all the PortC pins, be sure to set the following fuse bits:
To use external 4 MHz oscillator
High Fuse Bit — 0xD9
Low Fuse Bit — 0xee
To use internal 1 MHz oscillator
High Fuse Bit — 0xD9
Low Fuse Bit — 0xe1
