Vintage hammered copper vase with flattened bulbous body, elongated neck and flaring mouth, made in Santa Clara del Cobre in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. Labor intensive copper hammering technique starts with a single lump of copper that is hammered into a desired shape, so there are no seams or joinery on the piece. Beautifully made in Arts and Crafts style, elegant shape, superb reddish patina, in excellent condition. The base is marked with “Cobre vessel” mark. Height 5 15/16 inches.
